I have ducted air conditioner @ENKELI . Getting a solar battery and new panels in early January. Heating is expensive but cooling is not. I already have panels.

@GezzaP I'd love to get solar but it's never been an affordable option.
I'd be happy with decent cooling full stop!

@ENKELI Reverse cycle is a relatively cheap option for heating and cooling you can get two connected units you can run only one (you can run it when you’re suffering really badly). Or put ice in a shallow container and put in front/under fan(s). I can’t stand being cold or hot. I use an oodie for cold and only use cooling when unit gets unbearable.
I have roller shutters on all my doors and windows except the front door, so can put those down in Summer. I don’t like the dark but turn lights on in room I’m in unless I want to snooze.
Excuse rant.

My heating bill is more than that @Oaktree . My panels are being replaced. My helper wants me to keep old panels to sell but I’m not going to do that-can’t be bothered too much hassle. I’ll just get stuck with them. Will let them take away old panels. Helper starts projects but doesn’t finish. I refuse to let him tell me what to do as there are too many tasks he hasn’t finished already.

Wait... what? You ride @Oaktree ? I don't like the noise.
I'm also mindful that the roads I live near and will need to travel on have SOOOO many cars! A motorbike would pretty much be a moving coffin here in Melb city and Sydney city!
I'm sure you will be careful. I'm more concerned about the others road users!
I will wrap you in cotton wool from my side.

Ooo! I thought you could ride already @Oaktree . You're brave... but I guess your roads are quite different to out roads.
I learnt to drive in Syd. When I moved to Melb, someone said "Oh, if you learnt to drive in Sydney, you can drive anywhere"... and yes. When I went back to Sydney to drive, it was HECTIC and so scary on the roads! I had become accostumed to the wide roads is VIC lol.
Then Adelaide was amazing to drive, same with Perth and Queensland... oh, and New Zealand.
Oh, did I tell you I have a bus licence? I can drive buses 🙂
