hopping in my car today
to do washing I now go
driving to the laundromat
there's no queue I hope
washing fully loaded
now off to get the coffee
sent my order through
now to simply wait
paying off my layby
for my birthday drawing near
excited for it coming
the hamper just for me
now off into the veggie store
to check out clearance goodies
wonder what they'll have me
surely something yummy
now over to the supermarket
to see what I can find
where did all the clearance go?
where does it now hide?
transferring to the dryer
most of the machines are free
in for 32 minutes
now one more stop for me
walking to my op shop
my favourite one by far
to see the women that I know
find treasures from near and far
call into the studio
I know the artist there
she wants to sell my artwork
maybe but not yet
get my clothing from the dryer
and load it in my car
now to drive back home
it's really not that far
walking now back home inside
once more within my unit
sufficiently worn out
next week again I'll do it.
