@Bill16 Hi Bill how are you? I know about retinitas pygmintosa, and am sorry to hear your sister has it too. My sight loss is because the back of my optic nerve is very damaged and it can’t be repaired. It can be very lonely being blind. Does your sister use a blind cane? I do use the blind cane but I also have a seeing guide dog. I used the blind cane for years before I decided to try a seeing guide dog. It’s really lovely to meet someone who has been around legally blind people.

hello @Cuddlebear i am fine thanks,yes my sister uses a cane and thinks she will get a dog soon,my sisters partner is totally blind from birth also,he has got two dogs,one just retired

@Cuddlebear @Bill16  My mums youngest sister was the artist in the family prior to MS decreasing her sight that she couldn’t see had to stop.

Mine was the first baby photo that she wasn’t able to add colour to.

Remember group of guide dogs coming to my high school whilst I attended there.  As students we had raised money for Guide Dogs.  Beautiful dogs who completely ignored us until they were out of harness, out of harness the dogs were so excited having large number of teenagers to get pats and cuddles from …. Quite a few of us getting our faces washed also.
