Hey @Patches59 @Dimity ,

If you go back some pages, the posts should be there. I'm approving them as I go.

Re: The magic of tidying

How are you feeling today? And how are your tidying explorations going? 🧹

Hi @AuntGlow @Dimity @tyme @Patches59 @Till23

I am well thanks,

I went and gave plasma today. I got selected to potentially donate white blood cells in the future. I really haven’t done much tidying lately. I did clear and clean the dining room table on the weekend so that hubby could do some food preparation. He was making a big lot of homemade spicy chicken nuggets for myself and a tray full for my son as well. I do need to get motivated around the house. I have Tafe tomorrow and Friday so it’s unlikely that anything will happen till the weekend

Re: The magic of tidying

Hey @Oaktree ,

I totally want to donate blood. I just haven't found a convenient place. How long does it take?

Erghhh... tidying... I need to get better at it!

Re: The magic of tidying

@tyme

If you are donating whole blood it really doesn’t take long. I am not sure how long. You could find out by ringing Lifeblood in your state. Then you recover for 15 minutes after.
I donate plasma and that takes about 45 minutes plus 15 minutes of recovery so I am there for about an hour.

Leucocyte (white blood cells) donation will take 2-3 hours and then recovery time so they say approximately 4 hours all up.

You get drinks and snacks like party pies and sausage rolls. They also have packs of chips and things or cheese and crackers. It’s all about the snacks lol.
They just changed the eligibility as well so more people from the LGBTQIA+ group can donate. I hope I got the letters in the right place. I always get it mixed up

@AuntGlow @tyme @Oaktree

Hmm tidying is a bit out of control. Too much else on. I'll tackle the kitchen first.

I gave blood in my 20s and tried to resume last year but they turned me down.

Re: The magic of tidying

@Dimity

I initially gave blood when i was 18 and did 6 donations. Then I didn't donate till last year because I was unsure of my eligibility due to medications. I now give plasma every 2 weeks.

At least you tried. It's not your fault if you are not eligible.

Re: The magic of tidying

Oh, so there's an eligibility checklist @Oaktree @Dimity ?

Can I find that online before I even bother going in?

Re: The magic of tidying

You can ring them re meds and medical history @tyme then they might check your veins once you go in
